Development Squads

These have been running since 2001 and currently have 60+ players attending our Development Squads located at Lighthall School.

These centres are invitation only and is an opportunity for the more talented players we see to step up from After School Clubs or a Coaching Centre or any of the courses run by Football D.S.

Each month, our coaches work on a different topic (eg. Shooting/Heading/etc) to improve the players ability in that topic, both individually and as a team.

Competitive games are arranged when there is an opportunity against the other Centre's and in March 2007 we took the group to train at Birmingham City;s and Aston Villa's training grounds.

Since the Development Centre has been running, a few players from the group having been asked to join professional clubs, including Birmingham City, Aston Villa, Coventry and West Bromwich Albion. As a result of this, we have good links to professional acadamies.

We have an arrangement with Quality in Uniforms to supply kit from Errea to the Development Squads.


At the end of every season we arrange a presentation where certain players will receive awards for their performances over the last 12 months.

At the start of the 2009/2010 season, the under 7's and under 8's teams started playing in the Central Warwickshire league. Every season a new under 7's team will be set up.
